Staff Portrait Photographer Hobart

Gone are the days where staff portraits were taken by a colleague with a mobile phone. To look professional, you need quality images, and that’s on of my specialties.

Staff portraits (headshots) are important for any business website. It’s an opportunity for potential customers to visualise who they are or will be dealing with.

I am a proud Tasmanian photographer, based in Hobart.  I am proud of our businesses here in our beautiful island state. We should do all that we can, to support each other and if that means beautiful photography not just in Hobart but the entire state, let’s get to it!

Getting ready on your big day.

Getting ready on your big day.

This applies more to the girls than the boys. On your big day, you need to get ready (duh) and getting ready is a great part of the series of events of the day and should be a lot of fun. You might be getting your hair and  make-up done by professionals - yay!  You...

Playing with fire

Playing with fire

Last night I went to Kingston Beach with the dudes from Creative Photo Workshops.  They organise some of the weirdest things, it's awesome. It was fun photographing models (they were all lovely and patient, considering just how cold it was... we had a blast and I took...

Avalon Wedding Tasmania

Avalon Wedding Tasmania

Recently I photographed a wedding at Avalon on Tasmania's beautiful East Coast. The location was amazing, the people were great.  I had previously photographed the Bride + Groom at the Botanical Gardens in Hobart, so I knew we were in for a great day. What I enjoyed...

Convention Facilities Hobart

Convention Facilities Hobart

TEDx Hobart

Today was the inaugural TEDx Hobart event. It was held at the Dechaineux Theatre (part of the UTAS Art School) in Hunter Street, on a beautiful sunny Hobart day. I was lucky to be able to capture moments from the day.  It was really dark during the talks and...

A hot Hobart wedding

A hot Hobart wedding

Last week I was lucky enough to photograph a wedding on a hot Hobart summers day.  There were bright skies, beautiful people and an even better atmosphere - all the ingredients a photographer wants. The backyard ceremony was at Nutgrove near Sandy Bay.  Luckily for me...

A surprise wedding

A few weeks ago, I was lucky enough to photograph a surprise wedding.  The guests thought they were attending a 30th birthday party to held on the MV Cartela. A leisurely cruise up Hobart's beautiful Derwent River was supposed to be the order of the day, but no, Leigh...

Government House Hobart

Government House Hobart

I was lucky enough to witness absolute happiness the other day. My Mother-in-law was a guest of the Governor of Tasmania (His Excellency, Peter Underwood).  The event was the awarding of medals to people who have had Diabetes for either 50 or 60 years.  My...

A classy Star Wars Hobart wedding – go figure!

A classy Star Wars Hobart wedding – go figure!

Well, where do I start?  A few weeks ago I photographed a Bride and Groom in one of the classiest weddings that I have been fortunate enough to capture. This simple little wedding, with it's ceremony held at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens (under the Centennial...
