Hey folks, I took this wedding photo a while back, and it just came up in my memories. It’s a great excuse to write about it.

I did a three day wedding at Tarraleah with a lovely couple (and amazing family and friends too). It was cold and a bit dreary… in December. That’s the thing about the Tasmanian climate, summer doesn’t really start until the second week of January if you ask me (it actually snowed at this wedding)!

So, we had to do the family photos inside, and luckily for me, there was a gorgeous red velvet curtain and enough space to place everyone. It was perfect.

The funny thing about wedding photography is that as technical as it is, there is also a ton of problem solving that comes into the equation as well. Find an experienced wedding photographer, because they’ve come up against most problems and can make the best out of an awkward situation.

I’ve been a Hobart based photographer for 20 years and I’ve had a ton of situations that needed to worked around. We’re pretty good at that…
