Recently, I came across something really cool if you are looking for an alternative way to display your favourite wedding or portrait photo – mosaics.
The guy who makes them (Brendon) is meticulous in his methods and quality control standards. He takes a bunch of your photos and categorises them into colours and shades. From here he carefully constructs an overall image – one that you want. After your image is printed out, he then adheres the print onto a solid backing, ready for you to hang. I saw some of his Marilyn Monroe prints and they are amazing.
I can’t say how much they cost as there are different prices for different sizes etc, but it’s worth checking out.
