Wedding photographer Hobart
What an amazing day I had yesterday.
I was lucky enough to be invited along to share a wedding photography pre-shoot with my good friend Peter Jarvis from Hobart Wedding Photographer. We met one of the loveliest wedding couples that you could ask to meet, Jason and Tina.
We started at the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens in Hobart, which was beautiful – as per usual. I like the gardens because, on a warm day when the sky is bright blue, you would be hard pressed to find a better location for wedding photography in Hobart. From there, we went to several locations (Henry Jones Art Hotel was another) and had the luxury of time and my lighting kit – the beautiful bride in the beautiful wedding dress helped too. I suppose a really big factor is time. Often, when we do weddings, there is the rush from the ceremony to the reception – that’s when the formal photographs get squeezed in. If you want extraordinary formal shots – there needs to be a nice piece of time allocated – an hour and a half at least. I know that’s not always possible, but sometimes it really is worth it.
Here are some samples from yesterday.
