I have two old film cameras – they are the cameras I learnt photography with when I was at school…
In my opinion, photography wasn’t half as much fun then as it is now. I am impatient and like instant visual feedback (looking into the back of one of my cameras – Canon 5D mk3). Today I used one of my digital cameras to shoot into the viewfinder of one of my film cameras. With very little mucking about I ended up with a couple of shots that look Instagram-ish. I don’t use Instagram on my smart phone much, but I can see why people do.
