It’s been a busy weekend for theis Hobart photographer. I got an urgent call from a lovely man who desperately needed some staff portrait, and headshots is my speciality – I love doing portraits. The problem we had was the location, we didn’t have one. So I asked a favour of the wonderful folks at Henry Jones IXL and they let me borrow a space for a very short period of time (Seriously, Henry Jones is a class Hobart institution – amazing accommodation, food and service…). Then it was off to photograph the Ordination of a Priest. What a moment it must be for someone who dedicates their entire being into becoming a massive part of their community. I imagine it’s like being Knighted – completely adored and recognised by both your peers and the community. That was at the newly renovated St Mary’s Cathederal – a place where I have photographed many weddings. And lastly, an awards night on behalf of a friend (Linda from Solstace Digital) for Football Tasmania. That was cool for me. Coming off the national buzz that was the amazing run by Australia’s own super stars – The Matilda’s. It’s fantastic to see the girls getting the same recognition as the lads, finally. And as a side note, one of the award winners is the son of one of my mates. I was so damn proud of him – 22 goals in just eight games – Callum is a legend.

A great few days.
