Portrait photography – I love it. The idea of capturing the essence of a person is both difficult and exiting.
Photographing children is great fun (and sometimes awkward). It depends on the age of the subjects. With very young children, the art is to simply grab shots as they arise. To just capture a moment when you can, because they are not going to pose or be still…. and good on them!!! Sometimes this makes for great photography. I usually work in Hobart, but I have a car and this is Tasmania where nothing is too far away….
