There are a few things that concern a Hobart wedding photographer; rain, wind and a bad attitudes.
I’ve only had one Bridezilla, so that’s not too much of a problem. But it rains regularly and it’s even more frequent for it to be windy.
So when you pick your Hobart wedding venue please consider a plan B.
I’ve photographed weddings in horrific conditions – I remember one where it was torrential rain and freezing, but depite the warnings (from EVERYONE) the couple were totally set on a particular exposed outdoor park – literally rain, hail or shine.
Their guests were drenched and freezing and by the end, the couple looked desheviled – all that hair and make-up money down the drain.
Professional cameras are water resistant but not waterproof. Celebrants microphones and speakers aren’t. Old family members get sick.
Always think abou a plan B for bad weather. Pick a wedding venue that can accommodate a quick indoor turnaround if need be.
It still rains in summer and there’s always wind too.
